All middle school and high school boys are invited to attend this FREE clinic to learn the fundamentals of lacrosse like throwing, catching and shooting.

Legend Lacrosse is a high school club lacrosse team for kids from any school that will be competing in its inaugural season in the Ohio High School Lacrosse Association this spring.

No experience or equipment necessary! We have sticks to use. Clinics are inside and players just need tennis shoes, shorts and t-shirts.

Clinics are taught by former college lacrosse players as well as area lacrosse coaches.

The high school team will start practice Feb 27th.

CJD Memorial Fall Classic, set for Oct. 15 at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus. The day features three lacrosse games, with Ohio State taking on Ohio Wesleyan and Canisius and the Bishops and Griffins also facing off. Games begin at 1 p.m. and a $5 donation will be collected at the door for the CJD Memorial Fund to help support Nationwide Children's Hospital.

In a football hotbed like Licking County its been easy to get athletes excited about lacrosse. Both are very similar with lots of action, physicality, speed and power. Both compliment each other not only by the play but by being opposite seasons they act as a training ground for the other.

Maverik athlete and co-founder of L.E.A.P.S. Lacrosse (Lacrosse, Education, Attitude, Perseverance and Success) John Christmas is the latest athlete to be featured in the "Soldiers Exposed" series produced by Maverik Films Director Jay Jalbert. In this Maverik Lacrosse Video entitled Hooked, Christmas talks about how he was first introduced to the sport, his pre-game preparation and his favorite Maverik product.

• Defenseman for numerous USILA lacrosse teams including New York Athletic Club and Los Angeles lacrosse club.
• 25 years coaching and instructing at various recreation levels and clinics.
